Adám György is a Hungarian pianist who was born on January 28, 1982. György began his musical education when he was four years old. He was accepted to the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest in 1994 while studying under Katalin Halmagyi. György won the National Youth Piano Competition in 1998 and, two years later, the Hungary's Pianist 2000 prize. Dám studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest from 2000 to 2006, where he was taught by György Nador and Balázs Reti. He is currently enrolled in graduate studies at the Franz Liszt Academy and serves as the director of the Adam György Castle Academy. He performed during the UEFA Euro 2012 opening ceremony in Warsaw, Poland, on June 8, 2012.
